A Life Saver

A Life Saver

We thank all parishioners and the Knights of Columbus who kept prayerful vigil with us on October 31st at the abortion clinic in Attleboro.  We had another “save”, that is, a saved life as a woman who exited the clinic said that something was tugging at her heart when she woke up that morning and she decided to not abort her child.  We thank God for his grace which no doubt stirred the conscience of this young woman.  We continue to pray for her and for her beloved baby.

All Souls Day

All Souls Day

On Monday, Nov 2nd we will have 2 Masses in remembrance of all souls (all who have died) at 9am and 7pm.  After the 7pm Mass we will process to the Acushnet Cemetery with lit candles and when we arrive we will pray for the souls of the dead speaking aloud all the names of those who had funerals at our parish since the last All Soul’s Day.  Please join us as we respect the dead with an offering of intercessory prayer which is a great Spiritual Work of Mercy.

We are ready to resume our parish blood drives as of Sunday, October 4th.  On that day we will have a large blood donation van on-site in our parking lot to take donations from 7:30am to 1:15pm.  Parishioners are asked to sign up as donors at the entrance to the church.

Giving blood is a true corporeal work of mercy!  Thanks for giving of your very self – FOR LIFE!
