ELIJAH CUP VOCATIONS PRAYER MINISTRY

The Elijah Cup is a parish prayer ministry that invites individuals and families to pray in a special way for an increase in vocations to the priesthood and religious life.

Each week, a parishioner or family takes the Elijah Cup home after a weekend Mass and places it in a place of honor in the home. Throughout the week, they are asked to pray for those whom God may be calling to serve the Church as priests, deacons, and religious brothers and sisters, and for the grace that those being called will respond generously to the Lord.

At the end of the week, the Elijah Cup is returned to the church before the Saturday 4:00 PM Mass so that another parishioner or family may take it home.

How to Participate
Parishioners may sign up for an available week on the sign-up sheet located in the hallway to the right of the sanctuary, near the confessional. Please include your contact information in the notebook provided.

Individuals, couples, and families are all encouraged to participate. Taking the Elijah Cup home is a beautiful way for families to make prayer for vocations part of their life together.
