Tuesday, December 8th is the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, the day Catholics celebrate the creation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the womb of her mother St. Anne. Catholics believe that Mary was conceived without any sin or the tendency toward sin, her human nature being perfected by God for her singular vocation as the vessel and mother of the divine word, Jesus Christ. A solemnity is a holy day on which all Catholics are obliged to attend Holy Mass with a joyful heart. We will celebrate Mass at 9am on and 7pm on Tuesday, December 8th. Please come and express your devotion to Mary and to worship the Lord who gave her to us.

While the world begins to celebrate its Christmas season, the Church opens its Advent Season on Sunday, November 29th. Advent is the period of four Sundays preceding the arrival of Christmas Day. During this time Catholics can attend Mass every day and hear the word of God proclaimed by the prophets about the coming of the savior, Jesus Christ. During these four weeks we prepare our hearts for the coming of the Lord so that on Christmas Day we may fully appreciate the Nativity of Jesus as the greatest gift of hope to all humanity and as the first installment toward the eternal salvation of man.
During this Advent Season please visit our parish and attend Holy Mass, Evening Prayer, and Eucharistic Adoration and grow in the grace of Jesus Christ!
