Dear Parishioners of St. Francis Xavier,
I hope this letter finds you well. I’m excited to share news about a significant project planned for next summer that will enhance our beloved church as we approach a historic milestone.
With the approval of Bishop da Cunha, we are launching a capital campaign for the renovation of St. Francis Xavier Church in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the church’s dedication on September 13, 2025. This renovation project seeks to restore and beautify our church, honoring its rich history while ensuring that our church continues to inspire and serve the community for the next century.
The timing of this renovation is providential, as next summer we will conclude the National Eucharistic Revival, a three-year initiative by our bishops to deepen our faith in the Real Presence of Our Lord in the Eucharist. The 100th anniversary of our church’s dedication is the perfect opportunity to recommit ourselves to our Eucharistic Lord and glorify God by elevating our worship space.
While we have some funds set aside in savings, we are seeking to raise $300,000 to complete the entire renovation. The more we can fundraise, the less we will need to draw from these savings, which we prefer to preserve for future needs. I’m excited to share that we have already received significant pledges and have raised over one-third of our goal—more than $100,000 so far. With your support, we can reach the full amount and complete this beautiful restoration in time for our 100th anniversary.
Our partner in this restoration is Egan Church Restoration, a highly regarded company based in Shrewsbury, MA. Their expertise in church renovations ensures that the project will be executed with the highest standards of craftsmanship and respect for our church’s heritage.
We invite you to support this important project through financial contributions or pledges. A mailing was sent out in September with a pledge card. If you did not receive a letter please contact the parish office. You can also donate online by clicking here to access our online giving page and selecting “100th Anniversary Campaign.” Your generosity, whether through one-time donations or pledges, will play a vital role in making this renovation a reality.
Thank you for your prayers and support. Together, let us renew our church to reflect the beauty of our faith and honor our Eucharistic Lord at the heart of St. Francis Xavier.
With prayers and gratitude,
Rev. Ryan J. Healy
