Men, we have a great speaker coming for October. Since October is especially dedicated to Our Lady and is the month of the rosary, we have a missionary and retreat master coming to speak on Our Lady.
Fr Elias Mills, F.I. Joined the Franciscans of the Immaculate in 1993, and was ordained a Deacon in Castelpetroso, Italy in 1999. During the Jubilee Year of 2000, he was ordained a priest by Bishop Fabian Bruskewitz in Lincoln, Nebraska. He has served as a missionary priest in Western Australia and Castelpetroso, Italy, and has served as Father Guardian and Retreat Program Director at the Mother of the Redeemer Retreat Center in Bloomington, Indiana.
His talk is going to be titled “Our Lady: The Surest and Easiest Way to Christ”.

FALL BOOK STUDY – October 11, 18, 25, November 1, 8, 15 (Wednesdays)

All women from our parish, as well as other parishes, are welcome to attend our Fall Book Study! We will be reading Fr. Mitch Pacwa’s Mary – Virgin, Mother, and Queen. A Bible Study Guide for Catholics.
Fr. Mitch Pacwa brings his devotion to the Blessed Mother alive for every Catholic in his widely popular Bible Study. This book looks at Old and New Testament texts that are relevant to Marian Doctrine. Each chapter includes background and study exercises, and questions for reflection and discussion.
Please read and complete the exercises for the Introduction and Section 1 prior to the first meeting.
Books are available through Amazon. A limited number of books will be sold at the end of Mass.
Invite a friend to join us! You don’t need to attend every week of the Book Study…just come when you can. We look forward to seeing you 🙂

All men are invited to join the Men of St. Joseph on July 20 for a Men’s Night Cookout to be held outside at St Francis Xavier school in Acushnet. There will be pulled pork, burgers, and hot dogs. The night will include a short talk, adoration outside at the grotto, and eating outside (all weather permitting). It will be a great time, and a chance to regroup after our last event being the Meat and Greet in early May. The talk will be “The Rise and Fall and Rise Again of the Action Hero (from Stallone and Arnold in the 80’s… to the heroes needed today)”.
